Wake is a queer-Canadian comic illustrator and recent BFA graduate from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. He gears his practice towards queer-Canadian representation in comics across a variety of genres, typically by exploring the themes of found family, personal identity, and change.

Born and raised in Oakland, California, Vonbryant has been nationally recognized as a practical, real-life facilitator of workshops covering topics i.e.; life skill mastery, program enrichment, character / leadership education, diversity awareness, and team building.

She loves exploring storytelling, especially slice-of-life narratives that lift meaning from ongoing rhythms of life and relatable characters. She's also fond of fantasy elements that help express large, abstract dreams and feelings.
